I'm getting the following messages from PC PROBE II, a monitoring software that came with The Asus P5Q Mobo. It's a Q9400 proc with a Vendetta 2 HSF and 600W PSU.

So far 20 hours running Prime95 with no errors.

Vcore: 1.16V
Max Temp: 47

Here are the error messages from PC PROBE II:

They seem to pop up and disapear right away. In the PC PROBE II the voltage will drop to 0.2 or something in that range for a second and back to 1.16V.

This being said, my CPUID Hardware Monitor is showing stable 1.16V.

At first, I kept the vcore setting on AUTO and it had it at 1.24V for 375Mhz. I slowly went down to 1.16V.

Also, if all my cores are running at 100%, why are the temps so different on all of them?

Core#0 - 47 (max)
Core#1 - 39 (max)
Core#2 -39 (max)
Core#3 - 42 (max)

At idle, Core#3 is 37 (max) while all others are between 20 and 32.

Any thoughts?

I've been tweaking a bit since I last posted...

FSB is at 400 for a 3.2Ghz speed.

I was able to get 2 hours of stable Prime95 with 1.18V (CPU-Z). Anything under that and I got the blue screen (no error in P95 - is that normal?)

Temps are very low. From what I've been reading about Quads, temps at Idle are in the 30 to 40 range.

Max Temps after 2 hours:

Core#0 - 46
Core#1 - 38
Core#2 - 39
Core#3 - 40

So far so good...but I'm still worried about the PROBE II messages.

Also, should I run a folding test?

I don't know what to think about the error messages...

Prime95 ran for over 20 hours and had SETI@home running 100% 8 hours overnight with no errors. The highest temp my cores reached was 47, but they averaged in the 42 range.

Didn't think 1.185V would be stable with an FSB of 400Mhz considering that when the bios setting for Vcore was set to AUTO, it assigned 1.28V.

Should I test more or just enjoy the 3.2Ghz now?
