Overclocking my PC?

Hello Guys!
I have a question about overclocking my PC.Right now I have Intel Core i5-650 @3.2GHz and I am thinking to upgrade my PC to i5-4460.
So if I upgrade with motherboard then it will cost me a huge amount of money.So please tell me that am I able to install i5-4460 in the same mother board?

Sadly no. Intel changes sockets every generation or two. However an LGA 1150 motherboard is not that expensive. However if you want to overclock you have to buy a more expensive i5 and also a Z series motherboard. The i5-650 is also locked.

Not that expensive, upgrading i5-650 is. (only if you go for max LGA1150 platform)
Only the processor, motherboard and perhaps the processor fan, You must replace.
The rest, you can keep.
