Case: Metallicgear Neo V2
Processor: Intel Core i9-11900k (8 core)
Cooling: Asetek 670LS High Performance liquid cooling (240mm Radiator)
Motherboard: Z590 Chipset WiFi
GPU: GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB
PSU:EVGA 750 Watt 80 Plus Bronze
Condition: 1 1/2 years old new

I can’t seem to figure out what’s causing my computer to overheat.

I bought a custom built computer from a prebuilds website about a year and a half ago and I keep getting these shutdowns when I am playing high intensity games.

When I do stress tests on my computer it levels off at about 72C but doesn’t overheat/shutdown.

Only in high intensity games it will shut off once and try to boot itself back up. It will irregularly immediately shut off upon its auto restart. Increasing the temperature for auto shutdown in the BIOS yielded no results.

Could this be a cooling issue, or could some other component be faulty and causing the shutdowns? Could it just be poor ventilation?

PSU update noted.

1 1/2 years old....

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

My thought is that the PSU may be beginning to falter and fail via hard use and/or its' designed in EOL (End of LIfe).

Not with the immediate intent that you should go out and purchase a new PSU.

Objective simply being to establish some assurance or confidence that the current PSU is capable of meeting its' host system's power demands.

Work through 2 or 3 of the calculators to size the PSU. If any given component provides a range of wattages then use the highest wattage value for that component.
