hey guys,

i m using fairly a nice build p.c with core i3 and 4gb corsair ddr3 ram @1333 and a seagate baracuda 250gb hard disk. i have windows 8.1 pro.

My problems are:

1. a constant disk type of icon appears right above the cursor.
2. my computer takes a lot of time to boot up. even after having a completely tuned windows 8.1
3. its running normally even when playing games. but most of the times when i run a program like advanced system care or uniblue powersuite it takes a decade to load it up. basically it jus takes a lot of time to run the software.
4. sometimes these software works fluently but sometimes they just dont respond. as if i m skipping a particular parameter to not to scan or optimise they jus works on.
5. it keeps loading when i open my computer but works well once i get into a particular drive or partition even in usb.
6. when i right click a particular icon or file/folder anywhere once in 5-10 go's the thing stops responding.

Urgent help needed........ Please help........

I agree, if your budget can accommodate an ssd it would be the best idea for your system disk. Any ssd you choose would be a huge upgrade to your system, but I would suggest one larger than 100GB, I have a 90GB installed and it is close to it's limit. A second HDD >=500GB for storage and secondary programs would do great.
I wouldn't really sweat it about the brand, as long as you stay within the mainstream. Again, any one you get will make a huge difference!
