Will this board do RAID 0+1? I am thinking about adding a second drive and
possibly doing that or RAID 1.

Thanks

Yes and no,

The Intel raid controller with the latest bios can do raid 0 OR raid 1 you
have to decide
however if you read the latest manual for the board the promise controller
is capable of
doing raid 0, raid 1 or a combination. i would suggest you read the manual
section on raid configurations. remember either way depending on how you
have the single drive connected and loaded now you might have to format and
reload everything.

Thanks, I will reread it. I have read RAID 0 might not be worth it, I am
thinking RAID 1 but with a 5 yr guarantee on the drive and regular backups
it might not be worth the expense. I am still debating.

Thanks

Yes. I'm running RAID 1.

As an alternative to a reformat and reload:
Install the RAID drivers for the controller you are going to use. Ghost the old
system. Reconfigure the drives as you wish and format them. Reload the Ghost
image.
This has worked for me several times on going from a non-RAID to a RAID 0.

Thanks, I set it up for RAID 1, I am restoring a Ghost image now which I
hope works as expected.

Thanks
