P8p67 pro bios problems

ok, si i got my new system, based on p8p67 pro, with corsair vengeance 1600 Mhz ram. But it keeps having boot problems and says "overclocking failed" even though i've not overclocked anything except put the ram on XMP.

So i tried to update the bios, downloaded the latest one from asus, but when i go to EZ flash and try to read the new ROM it just says reading failed.

What have i done wrong n what can i do to update the bios?

Go to the ASUS forum and look at the P8P67 Pro posts. There are hundreds of them with RAM issues. I think you'll find the answer in those threads.

i used the Asus windows tool to update the bios and that seemed to work. thanks.
