What are the advantages and disadvantages of the various package(pin)
type CPU chips.
That would be socket a / socket 478 / etc....

The advantages are the newer the pin package the newer the cpu is and
thus its max speed is faster and features are newer. It's just the
evolution of the cpu. Also there is the difference in the brand of cpu
used. Your not going to stick a Pentium cpu in a socket A motherboard.
Just like your not going to stick an Athlon cpu in a socket 478 board.
Looks like you need to do some more research.
