Does any one know where I can get drop-bottles like the ones that Vallejo
paints come in? Ive checked JoAnns, Michaels, Walmart, and two art stores in
my area with no luck. Any reputable online stores that anyone would
recommend?

Thanks

Any place that carries Vallejo paints can get the bottles empty. Here's one
online retailer who has them:

I've ordered several times from The War Store in the past with no problems.
Always quick service. I'm sure you can get the Vallejo bottles from plenty
of other retailers too.

Hey, thanks!! Im going to try and thin my GW paints and put them in those
bottles. I find the V-bottles really help with "paint frugality", as
compared to those "pot" types other folks shove down ou......er.....make.
Yes, make.

Why bother worrying about being frugal?

There are a whole bunch of paints much cheaper than GW and at least as good.
Liquitex are excellent if you want high quality.
I've had a whole bunch of liquitex pots for years.
Then there's the real cheap craft paints like Anita's. I think these cost
about a quid for a 59ml bottle.
Both have sort of squirty tops if that's your thing.

Actually I think I like the GW flip-top bottles better! When a
Vallejo bottle is nearly empty, it gets pretty difficult to get the
remaining paint out of it, because the neck is so narrow. The tips
also have a tendency to clog, unless you're careful about cleaning
them all the time.

They sell similar bottles for $0.27 a bottle, in nice large batches.
I know some people who've ordered from them and are happy customers,
and I'm about to put in an order myself.

I'm in the process of replacing all my old paints (average age about 14
years old) as when I started back up a few months ago I discovered most had
gone bad. I've been buying the Vallejo paints, and the big problem I've
seen is the tips on a couple of the bottles that I bought last weekend were
filled with a thick gunky consistancy. The worst was a very dark brown that
the initial squirt had very little pigment in.

All in all, I really like the Vallejo paints, and haven't had any real
problems with them. Still I'm not surprised to hear there are issues when
the bottles are almost empty.

What I've been tempted to do is put my GW Inks in Vallejo style bottles.

The only problem I've had with Vallejo paints is you have to shake them for
a good five minutes before use. What you would have found was that the
pigment and medium had seperated. I think because the bottle is so small
you don't get a lot of action going on inside when you shake, as opposed to
other containers which have a lot more empty space.

I bought 30ml dropper bottles for about 45c from a 'plastics' shop.
