Bezel compensation was a high priority for the Catalyst team my a**. I've been tinkering with CCC for hours trying to get my 5970 to enable it. AMD/ATI support won't email me back. Believe me, even working with word documents and browsing around on the internet gets annoying when your windows jump around the bezels. Where's the fix???

[citation][nom]William Van Winkle[/nom]Incredibly, as of this writing, Newegg appears to carry only one DisplayPort monitor (HP’s LP2275)[/citation]
Newegg has more than one monitor with Displayport. They just don't tag their products correctly. I have been keeping a list of models with Displayport. Most of them are IPS or PVA panel. My personal favorite is the HP LP2475w.

Dell P2310H - $250
Dell 2408WFP - $440
Dell U2410 - $540
Dell U2711 - $1,050
Dell 3008WFP - $1,400
HP LA2405wg - $370
HP LP2275w - $350
HP LP2475w - $550
HP LP2480zx - $1,920
NEC EA231WMi - $310

I would think that people who are looking to do this eyefinity (6 esp.) would do 3 or 5 wide screen monitors (more so with the 5) in portrait mode in a 1x3 or 1x5 to give them a much larger screen than normal but not have multiple bezels in the middle of their line of sight. I mean come on 5x 30" monitors in portrait mode all running 1 game from 1 card? how sick would that be? And since its an odd number of monitors no bezel in the middle of your line of sight.

Nice thoughts; however, getting the &*(&^# card into the PCIe slot with the space saving SATA cables routed right there; Hammer the case boys and let them know you wanna sell graphics cards, please. Got DDR3 RAM; and a new power supply ready to go, but the aforementioned won't allow all the card action; gosh don't want to have a rack mount for a home PC you know?

Why didn't the author ask Samsung rep about availability of MD230? Doing search on Google shows first mention of this setup in January. It's almost April. Why mention MD230 if it's still not available? Toms did another review while back of Samsung monitor not available in U.S.

Hey, nice article! Just to let everyone know, you can get away without using an powered active dongle. I'm currently using a DisplayPort to VGA adapter for one monitor in an Eyefinity setup ( http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10428&cs_id=1042801&p_id=5135&seq=1&format=4#feedback ). There are a couple bugs like it took a couple tries to get it set up right, I think you need to keep Windows from shutting off the monitors and if I restart the PC (not shutdown) it does not work right and it also blocks me from using the HDMI. Still, it is totally worth it to me for $20 instead of $100 and I have never seen the screen blink off while using it. Also, check out http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=17468 for some discussion on the topic. I'm hoping to see prices come down on the stands as more people start getting a triple monitor setup.

I just got the HP Dv7 with the ATI Radeon HD 6370 which is capable of running 4 1080P Displays in Eyefinity.
I have hooked it up to 2 1080P TVs (3840x1080)and played Bioshock 2 (MAX Graphics), A.V.A (MAX Graphics), EVE-Online (MAX Graphics) And LOTRO (High Graphics) All Displayed on 2 1080P tvs, I have Also Hooked it up to 2 1080P TVs and used my laptop screen along with it (All displays at 1600x900 so a total resulation of 4800x900 all on a laptop graphics card)
So far this is the best $1000 Dollars I have spent!!

William Van Winkle, as you said: " Keep watching, though, and you should soon see a DisplayPort to Single-Link DVI active dongle appear. With this, Eyefinity will be able to support three Single-Link DVI monitors, side-stepping the present two-TDMS-connections-only rule. "
How is all the situation about this today ? Can we use three Single-Link DVI monitors for Eyefinity ? Or even HDMI+ two Single-Link DVI ?
