Hi guys i get very lost when it comes to upgrading my pc so i call for your help.
I have been maxing out my cpu for a while now playing some game so fort a upgrade is needed i dont care for overclocking.
I dont have alot of money to spend so i ask if this new build is good for the price or if there is something better for about the same price or less as thats about as far as my budget will go.
I have no idea what i am looking at when its comes down to all the spec stuff i know some basic stuff thats about it.

I didnt list the price as its different depending on where you look.
Im in the uk and it does say" the new parts i want to upgrade".
As for storage i didnt put that as it does not really have any affect on replacing the parts i want to replace.
The new parts will cost £400 to £450

i5 12400 / 12400F gaming benchmarks.

This is why i asked for some help as i dont understand any off that stuff so the boards you listed will be good ones and i wont have any problems.

I'd recommend that Deepcool AS500 if it fits your case.
The mobo is admittedly overkill. But includes WiFi.

This one? Where they tested with a 12900K and 12700? Where the manufacturer applied power limit was 125W (so full performance of a 115W i5-12600)
The aforementioned AsRock board has a set power limit of 65W. So certainly has no business running a 12900K or 12700K. Not sure who would cheap out so bad with a CPU like that either.
The 12700 results are much closer despite the 125W limit since that CPU has a max power draw of 180W.
The 12600K results at 21:20 would be the results to look at for this scenario. Not exact, but the 12600K is a 150W chip.

In the above video the MSI B660M-A did well. Not saying is necessary for a 115W CPU, but for only a 10% increase to the build cost, I'd go for it:

+20% cost for +10% performance. That's a decision the OP has to make. I kinda like having an IGP for troubleshooting reasons (should the need arise)

Yeah i would like a cpu with integrated graphics just in case gpu ever packs up. i did look at getting the 12400 before i looked at the 12600

The 12600 is going to be very close to the 12600K in those charts. So yeah. 8% more performance for 18% more chip cost compared to the i5-12400. Only raises the build cost by 8% though. So you're getting exactly the performance you're paying for. Both are great choices.

Can't go wrong with either of those boards imo. If you plan on upgrading to an i7 in the future the I'd go for the MSI board but if not that Gigabyte board I posted will do just fine.
