PC case , on desk, under desk

Can someone tell me if temperature is gonna change, or does it really matter?

It’s not going to make a huge impact in the end in terms of temps.

Your PC stays cleaner on your desk. If you put it on the floor, raise it up a bit.
You don't want your air intake to be sucking dust and carpet.

Well, sure dust might come in. Most cases have a filter of some sort. If you put it on top, no worries, put it on the bottom, just be sure to clean out the filters every so often (every month maybe)

Pro:
-less dust inhaled
-less likely to spill Mountain Dew inside
-easier to open it up and mess with the insides
-you can see all the pretty blinken lights

Con:
-takes up valuable desk space
-at higher fan RPM, you may feel the vibration through the desk

UNDER the desk:
Pro:
-more free desk space
-quieter
-less distracting blinken lights

Con:
-more likely to spill Mountain Dew in it
-more hassle to mess with the innards
-more dust inhaled
-more likely to kick it
-can't see your pretty blinken lights

Temperature will not matter either way

In answer to your question....it does not make a difference for the temperatures.
Anything after that is all personal preference.
