Question PC Crash because of RAM usage

I tend to use Google Chrome while playing games and whenever I do this the computer just crashes with the error. This also happens even with only Google Chrome as the only window open. I open my PC and then open Google Chrome, I lay down in my couch and then after a few minutes I look at my PC and it crashes. I have 16 GB RAM and the Google Chrome only uses around 500 MB RAM, yet in the Task Manager it shows that the Memory usage is around 80%. Is the RAM broken? But in My Computer properties it still shows that my PC still has 16.0 GB of RAM. Is this fixable?
