System Specs:
R3 2200G
RX 5704GB ( sapphire, no oc )
8Gb DDR4 @ 2800mhz
A B450i from Aorus
Corsair SF450
Crucial MX 500
Windows 10 home
I recently ( or around 3 weeks ago now ) started encountering frequent crashes on my PC. When i started gaming, downloading or updating programs or even watching/streaming netflix or youtube.
I got Kernel erros ( like Unexpected Kernel Mode trap and others )
IRQL errors ( Irql not less or equal and others )
and system erros ( system service exception an others )
before that i had updated my GPU drivers so faulty or incorrect drivers seemed to be a likely suspect. I did a clean driver wipe and installed or tried to install the latest recommended Adrenaline drivers, but the crashes still occured. I ran virus checks, memory scans but they came up with nothing. I then asked around on the internet and someone said the issue could be faulty memory modules, so i ordered a new kit, 16GB @ 3200mhz. ( this kit has not arrived yet ). I ran check disk scans and found some corrupt files that windows could update, so, i did a fresh reinstall of windows, via the media creation tool ( no key ). I erased everything since i have cloud copies of all my files.
With windows reinstalled, the crashes still occured. I tried downloading GPU drivers but that wouldnt work, it would always interrupt the download and i would be unable to continue. This was when i noticed that i got a lot of different erros within windows, erros like missing .dll files. I realized that a lot of the things that i downloaded eventually corrupted or were missing items. So, i ran Restoro, a program that fixes and replaces all your missing and corrupt sys files, but this didnt seem to work either.
Recently, my GPU also displayed static after trying to launch Modern Warfare ( i have been able to play it fine up until now ). I rebooted my PC and got a "No signal message". After reconnecting the cable and rebooting again, it displayed as usual. I dont know what to make of this
At this point, I think something is wrong with my SSD. Check disk and SFC scans seem to report no issues but i cant think of anything else that could be the issue.
im at a loss for what to do at the moment. The new memory should arrive soon, so i will seee if that changes anything
Any help/how to continue would be greatly appreciated.
PS. i apologize if this post is in the wrong category, didnt know if it was Software or Hardware issue
