Question PC crashes when gaming

I have had my PC for 2 years now with no issues. However, in October, when I would launch a game, it would just crash my computer. I have tried formatting my hard drive, reverting to old drivers, using DDU, and cleaning out the dust inside my case. However, I have noticed that my pc only crashes if the GPU is under load. Also, I have tried testing the GPU on another system and it crashed. However, the PSU on the other pc wasn't very good. I tried rmaing my GPU but the card vendor said the card was fine.

Cpu: 7700k non oc
MOBO: strix z270e
Cooler: deepcool captain 240ex
Gpu: gtx 1080
PSU: evga 700b
ram: Corsair vengeance 16gb 3000mhz

Since the vender said the card was fine then the next thing I'd suspect is the PSU as that EVGA 700B isn't very good. The EVGA G3 650W or Seasonic Focus Gold 650W would be much better and could stop the crashing.

I tried replacing the psu with a corsair cx750m and it didn't fix the issue

Hmm, maybe try checking the crash logs to find out the exact cause?

Ok so yea that doesn't mean much (power shut down unexpectedly). I suppose the next step is to go through the system and make sure all your connections are snug, reseat the GPU and make sure it's powered with the right VGA connections.

I have already tried that, still crashing.

If the GPU is crashing someone elses computer than the Card vendor is lying to you. Call them again and tell them that.

Except you tried it with a different PSU and a whole different system and it failed in both cases.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck.....
