PC crashing and playing infinite sound loop

Hey THW,
recently I've been encountering problems during sessions of Battlefield 3 and Guild Wars 2 where my pc would freeze on a single frame and then continuously play the last fragment of sound in an infinite loop. I've searched around and googled and none of the forums have a definitive solution, so I thought maybe you awesome people could help me out with a slightly tailored post?

I'm running a Q660 Intel Core 2 Quad at roughly 3.8Ghz, watercooled on Corsair H80, 4GB Ram, Sapphire 6870HD, latest AMD catalyst drivers version 12.10.

Just uninstall all ATI drivers and go back to one before 12.10

Hi pcgamer198, thanks for the quick reply.
The problem also occurred before I updated the drivers...so I'm not sure if reverting back to earlier drivers will help? I only updated the drivers yesterday and it's been happening for the past 2 weeks or so.

So does your PC just freeze and lock up with those particular games?, try using driver reviver then...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkjPEgXrgK8 its a crack as the normal version needs payment, but it updates everything not just for the graphics. Also possibly try a BIOS update (at your own risk) Sometimes just updating everything does the trick.
