Something strange happened to me recently. I bought a few RGB fans to replace my current case fans, I plugged the hub, that came with the RGB fans, into my PSU and then plugged the fans into the hub. I tried turning on the PC, it flickered for half a second the first time, and after that it never showed any signs of life. I'm really confused since I literally didn't change anything except for the fans. I tried unplugging the power cable and replugging it, replugging the 24 and 8 pin cables, uninstalled the ram, but nothing works. Is my PSU dead? I've never heard of fans being able to kill the power supply. Any help is appreciated! Thank you in advance!

It doesn't spin
You need to check that which hardware is faulty and to do so you need to follow some steps.
Just unplug everything and take out your gpu from the board and even Rams. First take your psu and your motherboard and just connect your 24pin connector to your board and then other 4pin connector next to processor and then turn it on don't connect any display cabels or any other cabels if the processor fan keeps on running then both parts are ok your psu as well as your board than move to the other step. Connect your Rams and then turn it on if it proceeds then go to the next step which is connect your gpu to your board and it's power cabels and then connect the display cabels to see if it's running ok just keep connecting other hardwares one by one and where it stops running then you will understand which one is faulty hardware it can be your psu gpu fan cpu mother board ram you just need to check one by one step wise.

O
Literally nothing happens when I press the power button, but I will disassemble everything and check every component. I'll keep this updated
One more thing to check may be your casing power button becomes faulty so just turn your motherboard on by joining the two pins together through any screwdriver but I recommend you not do this if you don't know about this just watch this video for info

There are 9 pins on your board where your casing power and led cabels are connected any two pins on the board (depends on boards model) are pwr bt or power sw (power button) you need to join them with screw driver and it will turn on if not then your psu is dead or may be your board.

Ok so I did some testing and I think my motherboard is the culprit. I put everything (ie. ram, gpu, psu, storage) into an older build and they work fine. I put everything back in, reseat the cpu, and the PC still doesn't turn on. So does that mean I need to replace my motherboard?

It seems like your board is dead maybe your VRM chips shorted. Just try one more time with another supply if you have. Just take out everything only board and supply and try to run it.
