I have an issue with my PC freezing ever since I got a new GPU few months ago. When I'm on my PC, chances are that within 15-60 minutes, the PC will freeze. But not completely - I can still use web browser, it just won't load whatever content it should load, kinda as if I have an internet issue. If I try to close the web browser, the window will close but the browser will still look open in the taskbar. If I have Discord opened, I can interact with it but again no content of the DMs or server will load. Once a freeze happens, it won't unfreeze. Sometimes I'm able to turn the PC off from Start menu. Sometimes I can restart it (which sometimes will throw the blue screen of death). But usually I just have to hard kill it with physical power button. Can't use task manager. CPU, GPU and RAM are sitting at 20-30% of usage. The temps are low, the CPU got repasted and new fans a week after the new GPU.
HOWEVER
If I'm playing FFXIV, the PC never freezes. I could have it running for hours and no freeze will occur. This is notably not the case for other games, though still a freeze is much less likely if a game is running. Recently the game started to lag which might be related? But it will never freeze.
As this started happening right after I got a new graphic card, I'm inclined to believe that's the cause, though I have no clue how to fix it. Also sometimes the PC momentarily freezes and gets back up and I get AMD diagnostics popup saying the drivers crashed. The drivers are updated. At a similar time I got the GPU I also got a bluetooth adapter (tp-link ub500) for headphones, and while it seemed at first that freezes don't happen unless it's plugged in, unfortunately they do so I don't think it's the culprit.
I have Windows 10 on a M.2 SSD drive. My other drives are another SSD where most my games are, and a HDD that isn't really used (old games).
Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5600x
GPU: Radeon RX 6750 XT
RAM: 32GB
PSU: RM850e
MB: B550-A Pro
1x 500MB M.2 SSD + Windows 10, 1x 1T HDD, 1x 1T M.2 SSD
I tried reinstalling the graphic drivers, ran drive check (all good) and windows memory diagnosis.
Let me know if you need more info and thanks in advance!
