When I plug in my Hdmi cable into my GPU (msi armor 2x geforce gtx 980 ti 6gb) it freezes randomly when i launch in windows and just doesn't work when using Linux.
But when i plug the hdmi cable into myy motherboard both operating systems work completely fine, windows doesn't freeze and linux launches perfectly.
Only when i plug it in the motherboard that is.
So i don't know it my GPU is defect or getting the wrong information somehow or maybe the psu?
If anyone would help me out with this i'd be most greatfull..

Solution
This isn't suppose to happen however it does every now and then, there could be a reading problem with the drive and it's trying to access the drivers from both os's basically. One way you can test this boot from linux on a usb see if you can get drivers and everything to work off a external boot first then we can determine whether or not it's a reading error from your drive.
