Hi!

Really going crazy with this one as I've tried seemingly everything.

Added a new CPU i9-9900KF and CPU cooler recently and for that had to fully detach the motherboard and re-seat everything, nothing major but all appears to work fine for the first couple of minutes after boot. However, after some time, PC just freezes, nothing seem to move or react to anything. I should also mention that the new cooler required me to install a backplate on the back of the mother board and I had to jam it between the MB and the wall of PC case.

I've noticed 2 scenarios:

  1. The only way to restart is by holding the power button to force restart (Reliability history just shows "windows was not properly shut down"
  2. Just one press of the power button triggers the "shutting down" windows message. After that, reliability history throws LiveKernelEvent 144

I've done the following:

  1. Monitored CPU and GPU temperature - all OK
  2. Stress tested the CPU with prime95 - all OK
  3. Clean reinstall of the GPU drivers
  4. Re-seated everything on the motherboard a couple of times
  5. Booted in safe mode and the crash didn't seem to happen there
  6. Installed the latest BIOS

My characteristics are:

Motherboard: GL10CS

CPU: i9 9900KF

GPU: RTX 2060 Super

Memory: 16GB DDR4
