this commercial doesn't actually make sense. They're saying that apple is number 1 in customer whatever (which is false since ASUS is number 1 anyway), but they're comparing apple to pc; a company to a type of computer (just that in itself is false. We've all argued the macs are actually pc's too point). This is basically a cheap shot at all the pc OEMs, even though it's main point isn't even true.

[citation][nom]jazzmain[/nom]I'm not a fan of Apple but I will admit, I do like watching the commercials.[/citation]
I'm a PC lover too, and I totally agree with you.

Intersting but check out this - wine - the study shows that the more people pay for a bottle of wine the greater their percieved satification with the product - even if it is the same wine. Not to hard to expend this to computers. The more people pay for them the higher the percieved quality and hence customer satisfaction. A lesson in how psycology studies are always skewed by the chosen cohort - in this case only Apple purchasers can comment on Apple customer satisfaction.

As a side note if there are any spelling / grammar issues with this post then put it down to the bottle of chardonnay I just drank, price $6.

It was OK...

on another note - what the hell is wrong with IE8????? I just had to download and instal firefox to get the insert link and 'subit my comment' buttons wroking.

'course, this could just be the wine....

And what's more, they use these commercials to do everything they can to help their Mac customers feel like they have a superior product, and invite new users to buy the new product and be willing to spend the extra. It's so much about perception. I've said this before and I'll say it again. I don't actually believe that Apple wants to see big growth in market share for their computers - they want people who will buy them to be willing to pay extra so they maximize margin per product. It's foolhardy to assume that Apple wants to surge past that 5% market share they have out there, even if they act like they want to grow like that.

To grow seriously would require serious drops in price, and I really doubt Apple is gonna play that way.

[citation][nom]snotling[/nom]Dell or HP should start a Unix bashing campaing...[/citation]

Dell installs Ubuntu on several of it's notebooks and netbooks. That wouldn't work very well.

These shit disturber adds will never end til all their products start blowing up in people's hands (wouldn't be to surprised either) and blaming the customers for whatever idiotic reasons (using it outside in warm weather?) they can come up with.

Id love to see a Windows add showing off their product, with and an ipod touch blowing up on a nearby desk, and having the mac guy slowly back away from his mac book in tremendous fear.

YOU RETARDS HAVE BEEN SUCKED INTOAPPLE MARKETING SCHEME.

PC = PERSONAL COMPUTER

MAC = PC WITH APPLE OS

A PC IS NOT A MICROSOFT OS

I RAGEEEEE @ YOU RETARDED PEOPLE

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU

How can PC HAVE customer satisfaction??? Wouldn't that be up to the makers of the PC, unless their talking about Microsoft.
Well, yeah, Microsoft probably has worse Customer Satisfaction, most likely due to the fact that they have TWICE the install base, and all the people who actually NEED help for Macs just can't figure out where the 'OK' button is. Stupid ads.

[citation][nom]hakesterman[/nom]Yes you can hand pick your compnents with a PC, but you also get lots of viruses and Malware which i haven't seen yet on my Imac. So far mac is my champion.[/citation]

LMAO.

I have been using "OMFG IM SO GONNA GET VIRUS/MALWARE" PC with Windows for 16 years and hmm, I never got a virus. Hmm, yeah, I DONT EVEN USE ANTI-VIRUS! ROFL !

Its all about "common" sense. If you're stupid enough to click those "THIS IS TICKET NUMBER 1337 and you just won 100,000 dollars!", you deserves what you will be getting.

Your post shows that you're nothing but a moron. Next time if you want to say something, please just stfu. Thanks.

I have been building my OWN COMPUTER for the last 13 years. so yeah. Im pretty happy about my purchase. I dont see PC world count those in.

and for the record, whoever still reads PC world shouldn't even own a computer at all.

and its pretty funny that Mac still act like they're any different than a PC. Mac IS A PC Mr. hakesterman dumb fuxk. rofl.

I find these fuxking dumb "OMG IM SO DIFFERENT 1337 ABOVE U PC GUYS" morons like Mr. Hakesterman funny.

[citation][nom]fuser[/nom]Apple is #1 in customer satisfaction. In other news, "Apple Blames Users for Exploding iPhones".[/citation]

Actual LOL here... people are sleeping in my house, thanks a lot...

Someone should make a parody where the PC was an ASUS PC. Let's face it ASUS has computers that can destroy every single advantage a Mac can be said to have.

Ive got a Mac for a laptop and a sweet desktop for gaming... problem solved.

Although I payed my ass off to have both, I couldn't be happier. I know a bit about both systems.

Everyone here seems to be hating on Macs, and quite hard too... Why? It kinda says something...

The reason why the customer satisfaction is high, at least in their forum responses is that apple keeps deleting forum threads about customer complaints, Toms has posted a multitude of articles about this various fact over the last several years. Nothing like sticking your head in the sand muttering, "the earth is flat".

[citation][nom]Cryogenic[/nom]Apple no.1 in customer satisfaction? Well you can't argue Macs are pretty, and have a pretty OS, but I don't think Apple customers can really appreciate a nice hand build rig with cherry picked components... (because I don't think they can build one).[/citation]
Really? You know that for a fact? Cause my custom built gaming rig at home would beg to differ. It looks great sitting next to my iMac. How about taking your stupid, and quite frankly, old and worn out diggs at Apple people somewhere else.

I would have to agree with Tedders, I love my MacBook, I also love my custom gaming rig sitting next to it. In fact I know many people in the IT field that have a Mac and like it, its not because I am uneducated, but because I don't embrace a singular OS as the be all end all of computing.

I think all of these ads are stupid, and misleading. especially the windows vista ones.... most people have been using windows for years, and if they're unable to comprehend the slight changes in vista.... you surely shouldn't recommend having them get a mac... or linux.

But hey... if you want to spend 2,3,4,5 times as much on a mac and get nothing in return aside from feeling cool that you own a mac, go nuts. I'd rather have a more powerful computer that costs alot less and know that I'm not dumb enough to waste a ton of money on a mac.
