Hey, i usually have about 80 fps in fortnite for example,
And i want to get more.
I tried a lot of things that should give me more fps but they dont seem to work.
What i tried:
-Lowering my video settings, i significantly have more drops if my viewing distance is the lowest, thats why i keep it on highest.
-Setting maximum pre rendered frames to 1, a lot of drops and frame rate changed from 80 to 50-60
-Adjusting imagine settings with preview in nvidia control panel to performance, was on quality , getting constant drops but my frame rate increased by 10, without it the game was more smoother (fps wise).
-Adjusting power options to performance (the only thing that really worked for me)

I got windows 10 , i had windows 7 and had the same problems , after i installed a new windows (losing every file) i still had this problem. And i dont think is a virus because the first thing i instaled was malwarebytes.
Pc Specs:
I3 4170 @ 3.70 GHZ
8 GB RAM DDR3 , dual channels , 11 clocks
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 TI

Thanks for helping me out!

How do other PC games perform on your current rig, apart from FORTNITE ? Do you still get FPS drops while playing other PC titles as well ? What's your Monitor's resolution, 1080p, or 2K ? List the make and MODEL number of your PSU as well.

Same for Apex Legends and Overwatch. My monitor resolution is 1080p. I dont understand what you are trying to tell me with the model number of my psu though, i dont know how to check it.

Exiting discord really helps me out.
Makes the game so much smoother and reduces drops.
I already unchecked discord hardware aceleration or something like that.
Also my windows in freshly installed.

As Mandark says, no need to swap it as long as you can determine it's not the culprit. That's what I'm trying to find out.

Cheers!
If i close both discord and malware bytes i dont have any drops, i even did the nvidia control panel settings that didnt worked before , and they worked great, but still , when i lowered the view distance on low , i got from 80 fps to 50fps and it was very inconstant , like 50 fps now 1 sec later 70 1 sec later 30.

Then there you have it. There might be something with either Discord or Malwarebytes that is causing those slowdowns.

Cheers!

Discord is hammering your upload which will worsen your ping to the game server which will create heavy lag.
The active part of Malwarebytes will scan all the files every time they get accessed so with a game that has many and large files it will cause slow downs.
