Question PC not booting with rx580

I've recently bought an xfx RX 580 8gb GPU to install in my old pc with the specs below, but the pc didn't boot at all with the keyboard not on, so i tried my friend's evga gtx 1060 3gb and it worked perfectly and i tried my rx580 in his pc and that also worked perfectly, i don't really know what to do.

Specs
CPU i5-2320
Motherboard: ECS h67h2-m3
PSU: corsair vs500
12GB ddr3

Is your BIOS up to date? Would try that first. If that doesn't help I'd lean towards the PSU not being up to the task as the 1060 will draw less power than a 580 (and seeing as it works in another PC with a different PSU).

I'll Try updating the BIOS.
About the PSU i also had my doubt but unfortunately it did the same when i swapped the psu with a vs650.
I'll report back after i check if the bios is up-to-date or not.

I'm having the exact same problem with the exact same card. My motherboard is older (Intel DH57DD) and I've updated my bios, but still no change. I've swapped the rx580 out with my old card several times (to upgrade bios etc) and each time I install the 580 I get a solid color screen, of seemingly random color (first was green, second time was yellow-ish). After I've rebooted the pc I'll see the bios menu, but it goes no further.
(old card works fine)

XFX Radeon RX-580 8gb XXX edition

Uninstall drivers with duu.

I haven't installed the drivers yet as I can't get into windows to do so. Drivers shouldn't affect bios boot though right?
