Hey, i have a custom built pc. It randomly crashes at least once a day if i use it for long enough. Sometimes the fans keep spinning but i cant see / hear or can only hear something repeatily. Most of the time the fans stop spinning and the screen goes black with no audio or errors. I have:
8gb of ram
amd fx 6300
7970
wd green 1tb
corsair cx600m
asrock 970 extreme3 r2.0
I can answer some questions if you ask. Thanks for the help. - Dylan Jamison

First make sure all cables are connected properly (including monitor cable). Likewise make sure the video card and memory are seated properly.

Try running CPU and GPU temperature monitoring software (such as HWMONITOR) to check for over/excessive temperature(s).

Try another known working PSU (borrow from neighbour, friend etc if necessary).

Try other compatible DIMM's (borrow if necessary), and/or try original DIMM's in another computer.

Try another video card (borrow if necessary), and/or try the original video card in another computer.

If temperatures OK, and tried all of the above tests but still have problems, then the motherboard may be faulty.

I tried more ram and it didnt work. I have checked temps and nothing seemed too high. I cant try my graphics card or another psu.

How high are the temps?
Read temps while running prime95
Run furmark too (stress test)

Are some errors logged in event manager of windows?

Check hdd with western digital life guard

Check ram with memtest86+, install it on an USB thumb drive, which will automatically be bootable afterwards, and boot from it

Check all power and data connections
Especially the 8 pin Atx12V connector, be sure it's 8 and not just 4 pins.
All pcie power connectors plugged into the 7970

Run 3dmark basic edition (firestrike) and post the link which comes up at the end of the tests

ok so my cpu got to 66 c i stopped it after a few minutes, my gpu got to 70 ish after 10. and my hard drive had the check on it. I dont have the exacts since i reinstalled windows but those were around my temps
