Question PC randomly freezes with audio looping

I built my PC 5 years back and it has a permanent problem of freezing with audio loop. I am explaining in the issue in bullet points for better readability.

• When freezes:
  • Mouse and keyboard don't work.
  • Last played sound keeps looping.
  • Doesn't come back to normal until a Hard shutdown.
  • Reset button doesn't work.
• I have logged each and every freezes over all those years. Found no single software or usage pattern before the freezing.
• Sometimes it freezes just after fresh OS install or fresh boot. Sometimes it freezes while using Chrome or Firefox. Freezing occurs randomly.
• One IMPORTANT pattern was found though:
  • It freezes once or twice almost everyday when Windows OS is installed and run.
  • It freezes less often (once in 2-3 months) when Linux (Ubuntu) OS is installed and run. (Surviving all those years with this PC by using Linux)
• Once freezing took place after fresh Windows installation with no drivers installed also.
• Tried with different SSD & HDD, no cure.

Configuration of the PC:
MoBo: MSI H100M Pro-VD
Processor: Intel Core i5 6500, 3.2 GHz x4
RAM: G.Skill 8 GB 2400 MHz
HDD: Western Digital 1 TB
GPU: Intel HD 530 (Internal)
PSU: Space 400W (built-in)

I haven't tested yet with different PSU. I have to buy one actually to do this. Is faulty PSU a possibility?

I have tested RAM with memtest86 with 4 pass. No error detected. CPU temp ranges from 36-48° Celsius.

I upgraded the MSI BIOS. After that, 1 month passed without freezing. But, point to be noted "It rarely freezes on Linux", so can't tell whether the problem is gone or not. But, now my PC requires very long press of button to boot. Changed PSU, no luck.

mine is 750w but i want to change if i have to fix this issue

The freezing with audio loop issue is gone!! I have updated the BIOS of my MSI mainboard. Since then even after using Windows OS, no freezing so far (2 months while typing this).

Upgraded to BIOS version 7996v2H.
