My GPU was able to reach 110C junction temp without any issue back then, but 1 month ago my PC started to restart itself without any error message, just goes to black screen and starts itself up, was able to determine it the issue is related to GPU after performing some stress test on the CPU and GPU, at first I noticed that if the GPU reaches 90C junction temp it will restart un under 1 minute. I thought I should just underclock it for now and get it fixed as soon as the lockdown in my are is lifted, after underclocking it the GPU junction temp is only reaching around 85C, then it started restarting itself again, now it will do the same thing after reaching 80C junction temp, so had to underclock it again and started to crank up the fan help with the temp, and then after some days, it started restarting itself at 70C junction temp. At this point I decided to replace the 5700 with my old 1050ti for now.

I opened my rx5700 and didnt really see any damage on it and the thermal pads looks good.
The 5700 is more than 1 year old

Do you think that this is issue is caused by the GPU?
or maybe its the PSU failing to deliver the power?

Solution
I'm actually already at 1300mhz and 900mv and as soon as it reaches 70C junction, it restarts itself without any error. do you think changing the thermal pads can help?
Yes too much undervolt caused my system to crash as well. Basically my 5700 xt stocks at 2074 MHz with 1200 volt. I can go till 1065 mv. Below that it crashes. Finally settled with 2074@1100 mv
I had temp issues with 5700 xt. Undervolted keeping the same clock as stock to 1100 mv from 1200 mv. You can do that. Although the card is a factory OC version it now hardly reaches 100 degrees. It's not PSU I am positive. Navi 1 has that issue.

Solution
I'd sold my zotac mini 2070 as 5700 xt has higher fps in games and the second hand price of 2070 at that time (late 2019) with almost entire warranty intact was higher than 5700 xt retail. I thought why not. But it took me late 2020 to get stable drivers without overheating. Never buying AMD again. They are just crap with their buggy drivers
