[SOLVED] pc stopped working pls help

when i tried to upgrade my ram from 8gb to 2x8gb (sc hynix)/(hyperx) my pc started to beep continuously and im kind of sure that i installed it correctly, anyways my pc did not boot up and when i tried to put back the old one now my pc turns on for 1 sec then turns of automatically by itself and im not even pressing the on and off button. I have the Lenovo ideacentre lenovo ideacentre y720 cube 15ish .

did you unplug anything else when you did the upgrade?

dont think so, except for the power

i might have not installed it properly back but it did not make a clicking noise but i didnt want to force it too much

ok so it seems that it might have not been secured properly, but i can never hear a click after releasing the clamps on both sides, or do i close the clamps and then install the ram stick?

and on the rail thats holds the ram stick it says 1.2v and the new ones are 1.35, could this work on my motherboard or do i absolutely need to use below or corresponding ram sticks?

Also the new ram sticks are 3600mhz and the old one is around 2000 and something, i know my motherboard may not support that high but its still ddr4 so it should work yes?

Based on what I'm seeing here the 1.35 should not be a problem.

sorey for trouble i think it works now, the problem was that i didnt press it enough to make the click cuz i was worried about damaging the parts
