PC Stuck on Identifying Network

All the other troubleshooting I've tried to do for this problem is in regards to people's networks being unidentifiable while also not giving them internet access, but that isn't the problem I have. I'm connected just fine. I have no network issues that I have particularly noticed apart from one program or notification (I forget what it was specifically) suddenly telling me that my internet was slow, which it's never done before. It doesn't feel slower. Both my applications and games that use the internet run as normally as they ever have, apart from sudden disconnects from the game server happening more frequently in Overwatch. Speaking of Overwatch, this problem started to occur when Overwatch was having their issues with the Uprising event launch. After the login problems on their end were fixed, that's when I noticed that my PC couldn't identify my network anymore. I have a strong feeling that my unidentified network and my frequent disconnects from Overwatch are likely related, but I'm not sure. Perhaps since the game can't identify my network, it has a harder time staying connected to it. I use a Powerline adapter and I've tried all sorts of unplugging and plugging in from all different points. I restarted the modem, I unplugged and re-plugged the ethernet cables from both the adapter, the modem, and my PC...nothing has changed. I keep getting the little yellow triangle with Windows telling me that it's "Identifying...". This has kept up for the past 24 hours now and even restarting my PC has not fixed it. What can I do?

Update: While uploading some videos to YouTube, Windows can no longer even detect a connection. My connection to the Windows authentication server is apparently down which gives me that annoying "Activate Windows" watermark that you get with an unregistered copy of Windows (which is not what I have. i have an activated legally purchased copy of Windows) and the network manager says I have no internet connection, yet I'm still freely able to use the internet as normal. My videos are still uploading just fine, Speedtest.net gave me adequate results and I'm currently using the PC with supposedly "No internet" to update this post even. It's also worth mentioning that I do not have the icon with the red X that I get when I actually do have no connection. Instead, it's still got the yellow triangle with the exclamation point.

Start by making sure your network drivers are up to date.
If it's a wired connection, try a different network cable.
Uninstall your network device in device manager and restart the computer, which will reinstall it.
If you are wireless, plug in a network cable and see if the issue persists.

You can try resetting the network protocols on your computer:
open cmd as administrator
type "netsh int ip reset" no quotes.
exit and restart.

If those do not fix it, you might have a bad network controller, or you might need to re-install windows.

I can't do any of these. Due to another error I've been having with this PC, perhaps a corruption of some kind or a hardware failure, Windows Defender has been blocking my attempts update any drivers on my PC and has restricted access from some of my admin tools even when I run the system in administrator mode including the Device Manager and even Windows Defender itself. I tried the command prompt, but even running that in administrator mode didn't work. It attempted to the command but failed at the last hurdle saying "Resetting failed. Access is denied." The only other thing you suggested that I could do would be to try different cables but not only have the cables never had an issue before now, even if they were the issue, I couldn't really do anything about it as I'm not in the position to get new ones.

Based on all that, it sounds more like you need to worry about the major things first, then fix minor things that actually still work.
You are either very heavily infected, or are having major device issues, like a failing hard drive perhaps.

Back up your data and reinstall windows.

I've re-installed Windows like 4 times and it doesn't fix the problem.

Have you run diagnostics on your hard drive? Most manufacturers supply free tools that you can download to find out.
If it checks out ok, then you can try to rebuild the BCD and MBR on the drive, if you can get into cmd. Try chkdsk and sfc /scannow as well.

Have you tried rebooting into safe mode and see if anything gets better?

It really sounds like you have issues with the drive. If windows is written to bad sectors, it will not be able to read them. So if you try to use a windows feature that is stored in those bad sectors, it throws errors, or just refuses to respond.

I ran a detailed scan of my hard drive and it turned up fine with no errors. However, just as suddenly as this problem appeared, it vanished. After playing some Golf With Your Friends, the network was suddenly identified, my connection to the Windows authentication server re-secured and internet access detected. IDK what happened to cause all this but it seems to be fine now. I'll leave this thread open for a while though if the problem persists.

I was trying to solve the problem for 2 days, and the ip reset worked, thank you very much.
