Question Pc stuck rebooting after new cpu

Pc rebooting even in bios

It’s been a long day. I bought an upgrade from Ryzen 5 1600 to Ryzen 5 5600. I did the bios update to f63c. I place in the new cpu. I started getting blue screens when I got to the desktop.

I thought I’d reset the CMOS and load default settings in bios. Still didn’t work. I tried resetting ram/re plugging everything in and out. I tried old cpu and now I’m stuck in a boot loop where it goes to bios (sometimes) then just restarts. Sometimes I can get to the bios but it’ll restart after max 15 seconds

Gtx 1070
Ryzen5 5600 / 5 1600
Gigabyte b40 d3
Corsair 2x 16gb
Any help would be great. As I’m losing hope

Try going back to the old bios version and try with your old cpu. If that works then try it with your new cpu with the old bios.

I was on the new bios update for around 1-2 months. I put the old cpu back in and still not working just keeps restarting and sometimes displays no video

So you didn't update the bios right before installing your new cpu?
