Hello everyone reading.
I hope you may be able to assist me.
My PC stutters in games like Forza Horizon 5, Fortnite etc.
This has been happening for a while now.
My specs are:
Ryzen 3400g
Gigabyte b450 dsh3 rev 2.0 motherboard
RX 6600XT
16 GB 3200 MHZ PNY Ram
550W PSU
240MM AIO
128gb windows ssd
1 tb hdd for games and big files.

Any help wound be appreciated.
Important notes.
I got my GPU a month ago. I got it to hopefully fix the stuttering. While my fps has increased majorly, the stutter is still there.
I had overclocked my cpu to 4.2 ghz from a base clock of 3.7 ghz.
I have my ram at 2400 mhz as i read that overclocking ram could be a cause of this.
Have tried mnay things, open to all suggestions.
Thanks

Solution
I had overclocked my cpu to 4.2 ghz from a base clock of 3.7 ghz.

Remove the overclock on your CPU. Unless it was done fully correctly its more problems than its worth. Stock settings are fine.

Running your ram at 2400mhz is kneecapping your whole system performance. You have 3200mhz rm, run it with the XMP/DOCP profile for 3200mhz.

Describe stuttering. Is the game literally freezing up while playing? Is it slow to load. Or are your visuals just a little choppy. The last one can be caused by high FPS with a low refresh rate monitor.
cpu/gpu temp and usage during the game?
ram usage?
try getting a ssd for the game?

Cpu temps are under 50, gpu under 60 at all times.
Ram usage in forza is around 4gb, however i will check again as this seems low.
I have moved fortnite to a ssd to try and fix this but it did not work.

Ok, i will set my ram back up as normal.
I have a 165 hz monitor.
I have removed my oc on cpu a while ago, i was just putting the info on there in case it was important.

By stuttering i mean sudden fps drops, not screen tearing or ghosting.

Thanks

Download MSI Afterburner, with RIVA Tuner Statistics

https://www.msi.com/Landing/afterburner/graphics-cards

Have it run in the background. Rivatuner will show telemetry from your system such as GPU and CPU usage. Play a game and then show us some screenshots of the graphs from Rivatuner of your systems activity. Especially spots where it stuttered.
