Hello! Yeaterday i had very strange crash which usually im never getting thats why i decided to share it here and if someone can tell me what could have done it, if hardware problem or software problem.

OS: Windows 11 Pro
GPU: Palit RTX 3070 GamingPro OC
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X
RAM: 2x16 GB 3200 mhz
MB: Asus Prime B550 M-K
PSU: 80 Plus 750W
SSD: Intel 660p NVMe 512 GB
HDD: 1 TB 7200 RPM

During Vermintide 2 gameplay which is game that doesnt utilize my system on max, GPU is going for aprox 40-70% usage with 130-160 watts power consumption and CPU keeps at aprox 20-30% use. The PC completely crashed after being on leaderboard menu which usually has even less GPU utilization. The crash basically black screens and says No Signal, its like the PC is off, no sound and no image with No Signal message, the PC is still working though, i tried to click the Force Restart button on the case but nothing happened, still no response, tried to click it again, and another time after, i clicked it total of 3 times by waiting after each time so i can see if something will happen, what happened only is that the fans started running higher RPM, after seeing that force reboot wont fix it i tried holding the power button for 10 seconds to force shut it down but this also didnt help as the PC refused to shut down even after that. Tried to shut it down with the power button 2-3 times and nothing happened, i had to cut the power to the PC so i can shut it down and boot it again after, it booted fine to Windows.

After PC got booted after all this i first proceeded with updating windows and GPU drivers, other then that i stressed the GPU with 3d benchmark for aprox 30-40 minutes on full load and it was all good.

I tried to reinstall the Easy Anti Cheat for the game as ive been facing EAC issues long ago and i was suspecting it a little here.

The GPU usually runs 240 Watts on full load, it crashed while being utilized for around 130 watts up to 160 during gameplay but its been leaderboard screen which has less utilization so i expect even less gpu use there.

Im wondering if i can suspect this as being software issue such as driver or anti cheat, i tried checking reliability history and event viewer, also the game itself crash log folder and non of all has recorded anything for what happened.

I will appriciate any answers on the issue in case someone has seen such a crash before, if someone is aware if software can cause such type of crash or its mandatory to be something unstable in the hardware ( The system is 3 years and 2-3 months old )

Additional info regarding EAC:

Long ago i had anti cheat issue which basically black screen and auto restart the PC when launching the game, was happening at random time if during loading screen or later during gameplay, it wasnt happening always but like once every few days, i suspected hardware here as this black screens been very suspicious, and crash logs and so on was leading to memory address problems, after deep checks through event viewer and i had to view some sort of dumb file logs and so on i discovered its been the anti cheay crashing my system by having issues with the Windows WinSAT Performance tests, i had to delete the performance winsat tests and generate new of those files by running winsat formal in CMD.

BIOS version for your motherboard?

PSU: 80 Plus 750W
750W is the advertised wattage of the unit, while 80 plus is the advertised 80+ efficiency for the unit. What is the make and model of the PSU and it's age?

You might want to keep an eye on your GPU and CPU temps. Speaking of temps, how are you cooling the processor and what is the make and model of your case?

Thank you for the response!

The model of the PSU is unique based of the company i got the PC from, they have their own power supplies, didnt have issue with it for now, maybe this can be the first but currently not sure.

BIOS is the most stable version i got after the Ryzen 5000 fTPM stuttering issue long ago ( 2803 ) i refused to update as i use this BIOS from around 2 years and its been good.

GPU temps during this game i mentioned runs up to 68 and drops to below 60 ( around 57 which turns off the fans and leads to the gpu reaching around 65-68 again until it cools down to +-60 again )

CPU temps are 65 with 73-75 spikes on loading screens.

Cooling is air, radiator with 2 noctua fans, not exact model as i uses the radiator from Pure Rock and attached 2 Noctua fans to it and its been working great, didnt want to directly buy new cooler as i already had this parts as storage and decided to test them out and it turns out being good.

Case is Kolink Obsarvatory White.

If this helps:

GPU under full load reach 73-75 degrees after passing a while running on full to reach them.

CPU max i reach on any game or during benchmark is 76-78. If we dont count Prime95 stress test.
