Currently my pc is https://pcpartpicker.com/list/x9cdzP minus my hard drives. I'm wanting to upgrade my pc to a new case and change out a few things to something like https://pcpartpicker.com/list/r84Kdb . On pcpartpicker it says USB 2.0 to USB 3.2 Gen 1 header adapter is required is that because the new case has 5 usb ports? I've been trying to figure it out. If I was to get the case would all I need is a usb adapter like https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DP4DGPPW/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A3KOUHYUNS6C1J&th=1 to get all the front panel I/O to work?

IMHO, I'd see if I could manually overclock the ram to DDR5-6000MHz in BIOS and not buy new parts. The case you've picked will actually work with your existing MSI Z790 GAMING PRO WIFI motherboard.

Moved thread from Components section to Systems section.

If you refer to page 25 of the manual for your motherboard, you will see that there are 2 usb connectors JUSB3 and JUSB4 which would connect to the USB A connectors on your case since each motherboard connector supports 2 USB A ports. There is also JUSB 5 which connects to the USB C connector on your case. So you already have everything that you need built into both the motherboard and case.
I looked at the manual and saw that and that's part of the reason it didn't make sense to me. I saw someone say partpicker sometimes messes up compatibility. I didn't want to get the case and something not go quite right.

Perhaps whomever programmed Partpicker does not know that each usb 3 cable supports 2 jacks on the case end. Or they can't do basic math so they don't know that a 20 pin motherboard socket translates into 2 10 pin case jacks. This is why we all have to read the manuals for ourselves.
Would I have enough usb ports if I use that corsair cooler I know it uses usb 2.0 and the motherboard has 2 usb 2.0 ports. I know jusb4 is the usb c port. jusb3 is usb 3.2 and jusb1-2 are usb 2.0 I feel like I would need an adapter for usb 2.0 to 3.2 for all the front panel and the cooler to work right?
