PC vs XBOX or PS3

Onlive is a joke. It will be purchased by bored Wii owners. There is no way that anyone without a very expensive internet connection will be able enjoy it, especially if they are already console/PC enthusiasts.

hi its all about satisfaction if u like the graphics of ps3/360 then yes u can build a 300$ pc specs: g31m 60$
ram 2g 1 stick 20$
hdd 40g (this space is only 4 games so hush hush) like free?!?!?
dvd rom put an old dvd rom dont need to be 22x again crap$
an old p4 case like 30$
an e5200 66$
about a total of 220 $ that keeps u with 80 $ which u can buy a 9600 9800 or 4850

and if i am mistaken by a couple of $....... i will keep the word in side my mouth 😉

oh and btw u (console owners) are WAYY too happy wiht the letter p beside ur res: i game at 720p or 1080p helllooo 2560x1600p any1 oh and gtx 295 mars (overkill 4 current generation) u can play at quad full hd :3840x2160P WTF can a ps 4 or xbox 720 doo that ????? pc edge: AA AF higher res (WAYY higher) dx10 dx11 more shaders more textures i.e alot more details shader model 4 and 5 ....... i am tired of this *** although originally i am a counsole gamer the only game i miss 4 now is MGS4 😉

oh and u dont need perfection PPL say u have to put RAM and more HDD and then a better cpu ..... these r UPgrades not MUSTgrades ur telling me that a console gamer who owns a pc will not be satisfied by a 4850 and up gpus cmon

Consoles operating systems are very efficient and simple so the console compared to its PC equivalent is faster. The upside of consoles is that you don't need to upgrade for about 6 or 7 years. When a console comes out its GPU is outdated pretty quick. Most xbox games are 720p (Halo 3 640p) and are unpconverted to 1080p. The ps3 has games that are 720p, but due to its install base which i believe is around 20 million compared to 30 milion xbox360's sold which is true but the install base is slightly less because i know alot of people bought a second or third xbox to replace their broken one or the families that have two for some reason. This causes developers to work with the 360 first making most games 720p. The PC can go up to resolution up to 2560x1600 and higher pretty soon. The PC is superior in every way, but between the consoles I would buy the PS3 (have one) because the xbox 360 exclusives are released on PC sooner or later usually sooner.

I was wondering why PS3 and XBOX360's have way way better graphics performance than normal PC's? While onle Nvidia and ATI make the GPU for both . Why cant they make some GPU like that for a PC? Is it because a PC cant handle the performance of a XBOX or PS3?

The PC bests both consoles, but between the consoles it is almost identical. The Xbox version looks slightly darker than both the PS3 and PC which might be the brightness of the screen but I assume that the settings are the same then in which case the ps3 has better lighting while the xbox has better textures. The gun IMO looks better in the PS3 version than the xbox version.

It does not take a genius to figure out that the PC is far superior than consoles when it comes to graphics but I can't help but feel a little frustrated that all the good content and games are coming out exclusive to consoles. But that's just my little rant.
