[SOLVED] PC wont boot - 2 beeps followed by 4 beeps

I dont have my specs on hand. Its a gigabyte motherboard, gtx 1700ti graphics card.

I was gaming when the pc shut off suddenly. It would turn on but there was no display. I read that 4 short beeps seemed to indicate a ram issue so I switched the ram around for hours until eventually it booted up only to shut down again 20minutes later.. I have two 4GB sticks and I was using one 8GB that only worked if i adjusted the voltage and frequency in the bios. I decided to leave out the 8gb ram and see if it ran without it. I took out the cmos battery to reset the bios multiple times also. Kind of stuck now.

And it is suggested to use identical RAM instead of 2×4GB and 8GB.

its a gigabyte ga-ab350 gaming 3. I noticed that i get the same beeps when i run it with the cmos battery removed.

On Gigabyte motherboards, 6 beep usually means CPU error.

I think this is two short beeps indicating a memory problem and theres a pause before another 4 short beeps indicating a problem with the system clock, so the motherboard. I did notice the clock was wrong when i was able to boot it up last. it shut off after about 15mins and it just beeps now.

could the CMOS battery be just dead? how about you replace it with a new one?
