My brother just built his new PC and we can't get any display to the monitor. He doesn't have a dedicated GPU yet so there hasn't been one in the system. All the parts turn on and seem to be working but I'm not sure because there isn't any debug lights (physically no lights anywhere) on the motherboard. We tried updating the BIOS but there's no way to tell if it's working because we can't find the flashback LED. I have my PC to test his parts but he doesn't live near me so we want to try everything we can before he takes the trip.

Have you followed through steps outlined in this video;

? Different board but the principle remains the same.

The LED should be exactly where the BIOS FlashBack button is located

(that slit between the wifi antenna and the BIOS FlashBack button), which leads me to think maybe you're using the wrong USB port.

He's using the right port. It's the one with the outline around it and we checked the manual. I figured that slit was the LED but he couldn't tell. In that case, it's not lighting up for some reason. I'll have him watch the video and redo it. Also, the manual says to download an extra file when doing a flashback and to name it something different than what is in the video.
