Recently I was putting up some new lamps in the house, where I had to turn off the electricity in the house. I unplugged my pc and everything, put up the lamps and whatever. When I turned on the pc again I get nothing, not even a post beep. Everything worked as it should before this. Now I posted this in the CPU section, because on the motherboard the CPU red light led turns on, so I'm assuming that that's the issue.
I've already tried these things:
Reseated the cpu
Took out the gpu
Made sure all the cables er properly plugged in
The fans spin up and everything, so I think the psu is fine. The issue either lies in the motherboard which is an ASUS z97-AR or in the cpu, which is an i7-4790k. Is the only fix just a new CPU, and in which case, which one should I get? Should I just get the same, or is there a better alternative?
