Hi, I’ve recently attempted to upgrade my gaming pc considerably, but after getting everything up and running it wont seem to recognise my two HDDS together. Intermittently, it recognises one, through using the other cable or another port but I have no idea what the issue is exactly, I’m trying to narrow it down. I’ve updated my BIOS also. The ports are also behind my gpu so it’s difficult to get at them. It’s my first time building or upgrading a pc so I feel disappointed and a bit overwhelmed and upset this has happened, if anyone can provide guidance I’d be appreciative. I’ve been trying for many hours now. Changing them around sometimes fixes one of them but I’m unsure why.

Thanks.

My specs ; ryzen 7 5800x3d
Asus b550 plus WiFi
4070 super ti
32 gb ram
4TB hdd + 2TB HDD, 2 TB SSD, + 500GB boot drive ssd.

Assuming you have a SSD in one of the m.2 slots (M.2_2), using it disables one of your SATA slots. See page x of the user manual.

I do have it in the m.2 slot! This could be it and I had no idea it does that! So the solution may be just to keep trying new drives I guess. Technically I now have 2 m.2 ssds so i should try find the sata ports that still work.

If I have both m.2 slots filled, do you know which of my sata slots would be ok to slot the HDDS into for them to work? Or where I can find that info? Thanks so much!
