Hi, I'm trying to upgrade my old q9450 non-OC pc. Primary dealing with photos (using Lightroom and Photoshop), also Adobe Premiere for compressing videos. Also writing music (using Cubase) with connected Yamaha MOX-6 keyboard. Almost no-gaming.

Here's my build:
CPU: Intel i5-4670k
MB: Gigabyte Z87 D3HP
16GB RAM Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 4x4 1600 CL9
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper Emo 122
PSU: Cooler Master GX 650
Case: Cooler Master Centurion 6

Other components from previous old-one PC which I'm not planning to change:
SSD: Vertex 4 120GB
GPU: Radeon 6850 HD

I plan to overclock (a little). Is cooler enough or would you suggest something better?
Not sure about choosing the case. Any suggestions? Got 4 HDD's for building RAID array. Can the case be inside table shelf and cool effectively? (dimensions: 260x500x500)

Build looks fine, a better video card wont hurt if you ever plan on playing some games. I also sugest getting 2x8gb, they will run in dual channel wich is faster and take less space in your case.

Well i have never OC'ed before and i dont really know much about it so i cant give you a proper answer. Check the forums, im sure there must be some threds on OC'ing the exact same cpu. GL :)

Good new cpu cooler you can use high heatspredder memory.
With this: http://www.amazon.com/Thermalright-BW-Support-Socket-Driver/dp/B008YTUN38
or this: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/noctua-cpu-cooler-nhu14s
Maybe corsair H100i is good choice.

This build you can OC to 4.4GHz for sure. Maybe more. My bet is about 4.6-4.7GHz.
PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1pZD4

For video editing you need more CPU. Best bet for video editing is intel new 4930k or now 3930k.
Then if tha is too pricy 4770k and then 4670k. Video editing is using cpu. So video card is not so important.
If it is better than GTX 650Ti boost it is fine to video editing. More memory you need to video editng. 16GB just for start.
Fast SSD are good to have 256GB is must. Then more is better here. Depending what you edit and how large files are.
Are you doing 3D stuff and what programs are you using.

Hope this did help. Good luck with build :)

Primarily PC is for:
- Photoshop and Lightroom - processing lots of RAW photos, creating books etc...
- Adobe Premiere - compressing video files from low-end Sony camcoder, creating video slideshows from photos
- Visual Studio 2012 for creating various desktop and mobile apps
- Mysql + PHP developing

no 3D rendering

I'm thinking i7-4770K would do the trick here? If so - is the same Cooler "Cooler Master Hyper Emo 122" is enough for this CPU? thanks

I think Latency is absolutely zero. MOX6 keyboard is superb since MIDI/Audio is travelling in/out through single USB cable. I use Steinberg USB drivers for Yamaha.
