[SOLVED] Pci-e extender confusion

I would like to get an extender for my pci-e cables. I have 2 cables, both have a 6+2, and I would like to extend them to another 6+2 just longer. Would using an extender that's a 6 to 6+2 work if I just connected it to the 6 part of the original cord?

look at your original PCIE cables, if 2pin is connected to 6pin then you can use 6 to 6+2 extension

if it has its own separate cables running into PSU, then its kinda risky to use it
