Hi,

I'm using a National Instruments PCI FPGA Card 783x-R to control a servo positioning system.

I've previously used PCI docking stations to house and power the PCI card. See http://www.dqsolutions.co.uk/portable.htm

The big drawback is ...... I must also connect a laptop to provide the PCI bus signals.

Is there any PCI solutions that will negate the need for the laptop?

Regards,

Brian

I'm not familiar with the PCI standard, I generally just plug in cards and start using them. I was hoping the laptop could be replaced with a small PCB that could replicate the PCI signals.

The FPGA card runs a PI Controller, it uses position and rate information to generate a rate demand, which in turn stabilises a gimbal on an airborne military application.
