Every time I try to open a .pdf file ( acrobat reader ) I get a windows error message saying "...docname.pdf is not a valid Win32 application . "

What's really funny is that I can open acrobat reader first and then click file , open and select the PDF file that I want and it opens fine.

I have already checked to be sure that PDF files are associated with Adobe acrobat reader.
I have also uninstalled and then reinstalled Adobe acrobat reader version 4.0.

Has anybody got any idea about what's going on here?

Actually the newest version is now 7.0.5 . before windows would associate the PDF files with Adobe acrobat reader, I had to run the acrobat reader program first. Then when I tried to open a pdf file I got the "open file with" box and told it to always use Adobe and it works fine now.

I don't know why the other version didn't allow me to do the same thing?

Anyway, it's fixed now!

Thanks for the help.
