Hi guys.

I am trying to decide if I should upgrade my video card or get new EVERYTHING.
I know the card I want is good enough and I can see the VGA charts.
The problem is the cards tested is in a high-end PC with a good CPU.

So my question is is a Pentium4 Prescot 2.8 Ghz good enough for most ANY game in 2006, reguardless of what GPU I have?
COD2, B & W2, FEAR, Elder scrolls IV. UT 2007, etc.
Such as 25+ fps, 1024x768 max settings, etc.

Assume I have a good video card and lots of fast RAM. (this is not an issue)

thanks!!

Yeah, you won't have any problem man. I use a 7800GT on my 3.0 Intel machine and its got game! LOL

My opty machine does seem smoother probably do to it being dual core but your Intel machine should work good man.

ya dood stop losing sleep i have an Intel 2.8 Northwood with a 6800 Gt and am able to play all games still. Maybe not on highest quality settings but very much good enough, absolutely!

PMR:

Thanks for the CPU chart, very useful.
I in the article, all CPUs except the the Celeron did well at everything.
Nice to see the CPU being tested with games and not just the graphics card tested with games.
