FX4100 + AM3+ motherboard with 970 or 990 series chipset + 1.5v Ram, overclock the sh!t out of it to 4.6Ghz + with a good cooler.

965 all day and tomorrow. FX's are not all they were cracked up to be and many people either kept their Phenom II's or went back to a Phenom II, I did the latter. I owned an FX-4100 that I ran @ 4.6Ghz, My Phenom II @ 4.25 is considerably faster at just about everything. The rule of thumb is the FX needs about 1Ghz more clock to match Phenom II's performance.
