Question Phone display changed

So i was asked to change a oppo a74 5g (code cph2197) display cause it's broken. I ordered a compatible display cause i coulnd't find any original ones. When i tested it the new display would only show some gray lines. At first i thought i didn't connect it properly but i tried a few more times and dindn't work either. So i asked the shop to send me a new one. But i have a doubt. Could it be because of low battery? To be safe i had the battery drain and then charge the phone for just 10 minutes before trying the first screen. So should i charge the phone more before trying the new display?

It's unlikely that a new screen would be affected by the battery. If the screen is not faulty and the correct one, then it should display fine when turned on even with low battery.
