im way ahead of you. i was going to fill the tubes with eather because its boiling point is like 35c wich is perfect for a cpu.

My last plan looked like this

But i am going to change it a little

So now it will have like 20 heatpipes and they will each have there own individual tube rather than all of the tubes looped together like in my original design

It will look sunthin like this except with a shitload more heatpipes, i just got lazy and didnt feel like drawing them

But in the new design each heatpipe will be indivual of the others.

and it will have liquid in it of course

i seen this on the evga forums looks sick wonder how this will work out for ya

Yeah, it should work out...

Now im just concerned about what to do with that left over evaporator...

And it should make a pretty good heatsink (=

LOL since i built my system in november i have gone from stock cooling->Good air->water->phase change

if you still have the water cooling parts, use the evaporator and find a way to make a passive liquid cooled system.

Wow ten seconds faster. Hmmmmmm.............. I gotta get some more 1066! Something is very fishy about this processor. I have really given it a hard time though. I dont know, Ill try again at some different settings.

Since its a "direct die" that means that its only sitting directly on the cpu rather than chilling water or cooling an entire case like fans do. 😉

So i only have to insulate the area around the socket. First i will paint several layers of "liquid electric tape" to make an airtight seal to the mobo, then i will add several layers of shop towels, then finally i will add a layer of foam insulation.

Many car places carry it. But there are soooo many places to get it online. Although it may be better to buy it in a store than online because it should be cheaper.

Thx for the reply i was trying to find high grit because i was gonna lap my P II 940 because the idle temps are in the 40's and high have the cooler master v10 on it and its pissing me off.

^ yeah, NP. Remember to lap the heatsink to and get some nice thermal paste.

When you lapp the cpu dont start with 2000 because it will take you like 2 weeks to lapp it at that rate.

and if you lapp the heatsink start really low like sumthing like 600 grit then work your way up.

i have a polisher on a dremel should i use that to try and get a mirror finish?
