Pioneer FHD1 or 5080HD?

The FHD1 has 1080p, while the 5080HD is only 1080i (1366x768) but has really deep blacks and good colors.

The FHD1 has 1080p, while the 5080HD is only 1080i (1366x768) but has really deep blacks and good colors.

The FHD1 is the one to get if you care about image accuracy.

The 5080HD can't display 1080i which is still 1920x1080, just interlaced frame of 540 alternating lines per field. The 5080HD only support 720P and even then it's interpolated to fit 768P essentially, and the 1080i image is also scaled down. Only the FHD1 will show either 1080P or 1080i images @ full resolution. And while you say the 5080HD has good colours the reviews you link to say it has trouble with Green, which the FHD1 doesn't seem to suffer from.
