Hey guys,

We have 2 security cameras, 1 doorbell, 1 baby monitor camera that are all able to stream their feeds to a Google hub already in the house.

Just updated and set up pixel tablet and dock. They appear within Google home alongside the cameras.

When the tablet is in dock mode and locked, saying "hey Google, show the ____ camera" the hub mode tablet responds with "streaming the _____ camera", then seemingly does nothing.

This is the same with any and all cameras (that can still be viewed with the small Google hub we already have). Have checked its not just pushing the stream to any other devices, seems to just say it's happening then does nothing.

Anyone have an idea what's going on? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Found this forum post with zero responses, seems like the exact issue I'm having:

Just to clarify: you mention "dock mode" - does the Pixel tablet work (shows cameras) when undocked?

= = = =

Before you installed the pixel tablet and dock how did you/what was used to view the streamed cameras?

My thought is to look at original "viewing" computer and compare the relevant settings to how the Pixel tablet and its' corresponding camera app is configured.

The Pixel tablet may be aware that the camera and Google Hub/Home exist. It is just not able to fully communicate with them.
