Hi, I have a Samsung S27A950 and recently I've bought a Nvidia Quadro K2000 for cad purposes. This card has 1 DVI and 2 Display Ports (no HDMI)

The question is, for playing blu ray 3D movies, is it OK to use the Display Port connector of the monitor (instead of using a DP-HDMI adapter or cable)?

Solution

Not only is it OK, but it is better...the display port is the recommanded port to use if the display you're on supports it, unless you need to carry the sound too (like for a tv screen for example) then you should use the HDMI port

Ok, I'll get a DP cable tomorrow... Thanks for the response!
