Hello,
I am a 32 year old dad, web dev working with .net for the most part, planning to work from home soon since my company allowed it. I play Dota2 with my friends on weekends currently, looking forward to start FFXIV since I'll have some free time daily soon. I have a work laptop with an AMD radeon HD 8500M, looking to build a gaming pc but on a budget. Here are the parts i have chosen with my limited knowledge, please advice.

Budget Range: Equivalent to or less than 700$ USD

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon.in or i will just buy from physical retailers in my city which will be cheaper.

Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.

Parts Preferences: AMD

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: N/A

The parts which i have chosen for now :

GPU : Sapphire pulse Radeon RX 6600 8GB
RAM : T Force Delta DDR4 3600MHz 16GB (8*2)
Mobo : Gigabyte B450 S2/H

cooler : stock amd wraith
PSU : 650W 80+ bronze Antec CSK
Case: idk yet but anything cheap since this will be sitting in an Air Conditioned room.

Please add or remove or chance whatever you would like keeping the price under 700$ ish.
Thank You.

Check this out. Forgive me it’s a link from a YouTuber. But i5 12600kf for 140 bucks. Normally a 200 dollar cpu.

You could then grab a b660 or 760 board.

Don’t get me wrong what you’ve picked out actually doesn’t look bad tbh. I actually have the 5500 and a b450 board now. Going to take some of my parts and build my parents a pc. So I’m giving them my board and windows license, I may save the 5500 and put into a pc later for my wife or sell it in a budget box on Facebook or something.

Never built in one but check out the cooler master ql300 for a case. Cooler master always makes a decent case and it looks cool imo.

If budget is a big thing, take a look at the used market. I recently grabbed an rx 5600xt for about 85 dollars shipped from eBay. It’sa 6gb card but according to YouTube it looks like it’s basically comparable performance to the 6600. If you can land one for 100 bucks or less that opens up the budget. Or look for the 5700 or 5700xt as well. Although with the sales I think I saw some 3060s on sale for about 250 bucks.
