Hello all,

I'm planning to buy a new PC. It needs to handle mostly games that have a lot happen (open RPGs like No Man's Sky, Kenshi, Cyberpunk 2077; grand strategy games like Terra Invicta and Crusader Kings 3). While it's difficult to predict, I want this to handle smoothly some AAA games in the next few years. I want the best for that around this budget.

I already asked for some help, but this is obviously a large purchase and I'd like to get as many competent opinions as possible.

SSD M.2 SILICON POWER 1024GB A60 NVMe 1.3 (2200MB/s | 1600MB/s) SP001TBP34A60M28
ID-Cooling CPU Cooler - SE-224-XT Basic (15,2-32,5dB; max. 129,39 m3/h; 4pin csatlakozó, 4 db heatpipe, 12cm, PWM SE-224-XT BASIC
Kolink Citadel Mesh mATX black
DDR4 G.Skill Aegis 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz CL16 F4-3200C16D-16GIS
Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 ATX gaming power supply 750W 80+ Gold BOX PS-TPD-0750FNFAGE-1
ASUS TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS motherboard (90MB14A0-M0EAY0)
ASUS TUF-RX6800XT-O16G-GAMING AMD 16GB GDDR6 256bit PCI-E video card 90YV0FL1-M0NM00
AMD Ryzen 5 5600 (3600Mhz 16MBL3 Cache 7nm 65W AM4) BOX 100-100000927BOX

Location: Hungary
Preferred retailer: www.pcx.hu
Budget: about the current total value (about 600 000 HUF / 1 500 EUR), I am willing to go somewhat above if there is a good reason.

Bonus questions (not included in the total budget, this is on top of it):
  • thinking of getting a 27" 144 Hz gaming monitor, one that's good but not too expensive
  • a good Logitech Lightspeed mouse to replace the current G603. The mouse wheel is getting a bit wonky, but otherwise I like it a lot, so I want to get a Logitech again
Current build I'm replacing:
Power supply: Corsair 550W CX550M CP-9020102-EU
Motherboard: Asrock Z370M Pro4
CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 BX80684i58400
CPU fan: Cooler Master Hyper H411R RR-H411-20PW-R1
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB DDR4 2666MHz
GPU: Asus GTX1060 6GB GDDR5 DUAL-GTX1060-O6G
SSD: 1: Crucial 1TB MX500 M.2
2: Samsung 980 1TB M.2 <- will put this one into the new PC and use it as my primary

Thank you in advance!

-5600 is not a hot CPU, you could get by with the stock cooler. Its a little noisy but cools fine.
- AMD GPU prices are all over the place. You may be able to find a 6900xt for only a little bit more money

Here is the guy I trust on monitors

1. This is the cheapest 6900 xt at this retailer. I want to stick to this retailer as they are trustworthy and they build the PC for you.
There are multiple versions of this card with highly variable prices and I have no idea what the difference is.
The 6800 xt is 330 590 Ft / 825 EUR, and this 6900 xt is 432 290 Ft / 1080 EUR. I would not be happy to pay this much more, is the difference so noticable that it would be worth it?

2. Noted the comment about the cooler, will think about it more. I get that the one I linked is more silent, but does it actually cool any better?

3. Checked the monitor video, the recommended monitor for the category is not available in my region.

Thanks!

Hi - I had a go at the website but went away and came back and it reset (tried to get you a 6900xt build for near the same price but came out about 650 000. But you can get cheaper ram with the same specs on the website. also you could save some money with a b450 motherboard too (as long as you are able to get the bios updated). I'd say yes the 6900xt is worth it (the cheapest version) whether you notice it is almost impossible to tell as you don't have them side by side - but it should last you longer til a replacement card. rtings dot com give some good reviews for monitors. I don't think you can go too wrong these days; something with low ms input lag (advertised <6ms) is what you are after, don't trust the specs from the manufacturer. Also you would want freesync with your amd gpu.

Hi,

I tried to fit the 6900xt and b450 for me it came out at 675 000 Ft. It's significantly more. So, to have it put as simply as possible, how much FPS difference would that make in, let's say, a modern AAA FPS? The newest COD, or Cyberpunk 2077, for example.

Is the CPU at the same level than the 6900xt? It will not be a bottleneck, right?

This retailer does offer a BIOS update service before delivering.

So if I understand correctly, freesync is something the AMD GPU does, but the monitor has to be compatible? Found this monitor, is this a good one?

Thanks in advance.
