im uploading a closer picture now of my water cooler the logo is the right way so i dont see how its mounted wrong i dont understand like is it supposed to be upside down? unlikely id think ..

Its really hard to tell how you have it all mounted. The best way to mount it is to mount the fans on the top inside of the case blowing air out, then mount the radiator to the fans, that way when dust builds up on the radiator you can easily clean it off.

Most motherboards have a header marked AIO_Pump and the a couple CPU_fan headers. Mount the pump header to the AIO and the fans on the radiator to the CPU_fan ones so that way the speeds will be adjusted automatically.

ik this is a dumb question but im new to this, wich part is the heat sink specifically

i could only attach one fan to the radiator because the 2nd would not fit due to the MB. saw other people have the same issue figured thats no big deal.

Don't know much about AIOs but to me it looks mounted correctly. Make sure the cable that leads to it is hooked into either the AIO_pump or CPU_fan (either will work but the AIO_pump would be best) and that the fans that mount to the radiator are hooked to the CPU-fan headers on the motherboard.

You could try and move the radiator to the front and hook up whatever two case fans are blowing through it to the CPU-fan headers and use the fans that came with he cooler on the top and back for exhaust.

https://gyazo.com/291c589a02335af9992a9866e933a221 - i circled what i think is what cable ur talking about plugged into the cpu_fan - is that correctly plugged in? and when i first built this 2 days ago and applied the cooler i do remember messin up and rubbing off like 1/5th the thermal paste on one corner of the cooler by accident from it touching a box before applying, do u think that is the specific issue and it simply wasnt a proper thermal paste job. i did try and make it even on the processor when attaching it but maybe thats why ?

u mean the thing covering the pre applied thermal paste on what i believe is the heat sink? yeh i did lol. kinda hard to miss that 1

If I were you, I would take out the cooler, the fans and radiator and start over again. I would also suggest opening up the other side panel and running the cables on that side whever possible to clean everything up and make it neat. Those rubber openings between inside are designed for just that and on the other side there should eithe rbe velro strap or places to loop zip ties around and bundle the cables together in a neat fashion. Cable management helps air flow.

Next just buy some thermal paste since you said you may have messed it up, clean off the old stuff from the heat sink and top of the cpu using a coffee filter/paper towel and rubbing alcohol and then apply between a rice to pea sized amount of paste, don't worry alittle too much wont harm anything.

Artic Silver, Artic MX4 and Noctua NT-H1 are all good thermal pastes.

When you get it back on I would suggest you mount the radiator to the front fans as I believe your case is more designed for that and plug the cable for the heatsink into the AIO_pump header and the whatever fans are blowing through the radiator into the CPU_fan headers.

i really would rather keep the radiator up top even if only one fan is attached is that still going to be okay? i most deff will re do the whole cooler process but i dont have to mess with anything else but the cooler and its respectful cables right ? nd does that mean im plugged in wrong as well if im plugged into CPU_fan. i dont see a AIO_pump spot is why im stressing.

going to go ahead and finish up for the most part here. if theres any final pointers please do let me know. i greatly appreciate all of the time you put in helping me out with this. i really hope this works out

Either your fans/pump are not plugged in, the pump is dead, or the waterblock isn't sitting flush with the CPU.

Here is the layout.

so the plug i have plugged into cpu_fan currently i move to HPWR_fan_pump? and then connect the one fan up top attached to the rad to cpu_fan instead?

It's spotty because the seal is broke. Some was left on the cpu and some on the block. Assuming your pump is plugged in and the fans are connected, if you're still seeing 100c temps the pumps is more than likely dead.
